School will:
Provide a caring Christian environment within which all pupils will be treated with respect and in which the academic, physical, social, spiritual and moral development of each child can be nurtured.
Encourage a positive attitude towards learning and the opportunity to achieve through the provision of a broad and balanced curriculum, which meets the needs of all ages, gender and ability whilst encompassing the requirements of the National Curriculum.
Set appropriate and challenging targets and continually aim to raise the standards of individual pupils and whole school attainment.
Encourage children to do their best at all times.
Provide enjoyable and purposeful supplements to class work by setting, marking and monitoring homework.
Monitor your child’s progress and achievements, arrange parent’s evenings and prepare an annual report through which progress will be shared with parents.
Encourage children to take care of their surroundings and others around them.
Contact parents if there is a problem with attendance, punctuality or equipment (e.g. Swimming /PE clothes).
Inform parents about any concerns or problems that are affecting their child’s work or behaviour.
Keep parents informed about school activities and events through the website, letters, newsletters and notices about special events.
Deal promptly and effectively with any parental concerns.
Parents/Family/Carers will:
Make sure my child attends school regularly and will notify school of any absences.
Make sure my child arrives on time (between 8:45 and 8:55 each day).
Support school standards by sending my child to school in the correct school uniform and providing any specialist clothing or equipment needed to access the National Curriculum.
Support the school’s policies and guidelines for behaviour and discipline.
Let the school know about any concerns or problems that might affect my child’s work or behaviour.
Support my child in homework and other opportunities for home learning.
Attend parent’s evenings and discussions on my child’s progress.
Attempt to get to know about my child’s life at school and try to attend or support special events and initiatives.
Ensure the safety of all children when delivering/collecting children.
Not arrange holidays during the academic year
Contact school with any queries or concerns and follow the schools complaints procedure when making a complaint about school or a member of staff.
Refrain from using social networking sites to make negative comments about school or school staff.
The Child will:
Come to school every day
Come to school on time
Bring all the equipment they need every day e.g. PE kit
Wear the school uniform and be tidy in appearance
Attempt to complete homework and return it to school on time
Always try their best
Be polite, helpful and considerate to others
Follow the school rules
Respect everyone and everything
Travel around the school safely
Everyone has a right to learn
Wear your school uniform with pride
Remember that I represent my school both at school and outside.
