Governors
Welcome to our Governors’ section.
Please find below details of how our Governing body is structured, including the names, categories, responsibilities and terms of appointment for each Governor.
Our Governors do a great deal of strategic work for the school and oversee its smooth running. They oversee the Organisation, Curriculum and Budget of the school whilst the day-to–day running is the responsibility of the Headteacher and Staff.
Our Governors are volunteers who meet regularly for both full Governing Body Meetings and for Committee Meetings where the work is shared out. They are responsible for:
Promoting high standards of education and achievement
Planning the school’s long-term future
Setting the school’s aims and values
Appointing senior staff including the Headteacher
Budgetary allocation and control
Deciding on the number of staff to be employed
Making sure that the curriculum is broad and balanced
They bring a range of skills, expertise, knowledge and interests to the school and are to be commended for their work.
Our Governing Body consists of Foundation Governors who are appointed by the Diocese of Salford, Local Authority Representatives, Staff and Parent Governors.
