Mrs. Redhead Hazel Class Teacher
Hello! I’m Mrs Redhead and I am a Class Teacher at St Joseph’s RC Primary School.
I love making learning fun, active and a little bit messy! I’m a big fan of outdoor learning and giving children opportunities to explore, investigate, create and learn through play. If we can take our learning outside, I’m usually the first one reaching for the wellies!
I also love sharing stories with the children and getting lost in a good book together. One of my favourite parts of teaching is seeing children use their imaginations and come up with ideas that I would never have thought of myself!
I’m passionate about helping children become confident and independent learners. I encourage them to have a go, try things for themselves and remember that it’s absolutely fine if things don’t work perfectly the first time. Some of the best learning happens when we make mistakes!
Outside of school, I love spending time with my family, especially my son, Arthur. We enjoy going on adventures, discovering new places and finding somewhere new for him to play, explore and learn. Life with Arthur certainly keeps me busy – I think he enjoys outdoor learning just as much as I do!
Most of all, I want our classroom to be a happy place where children feel safe to imagine, create, explore, wonder and play – and have lots of fun along the way.
