Pupil Premium
What is Pupil Premium?
Pupil Premium is additional funding received by the school to target 3 specific groups of children:
Children on free school meals
Children in care
Children whose Parents are in the armed forces (service children)
The purpose of this funding is to support schools in narrowing the gaps in attainment for these specific groups of pupils.
Schools are free to spend the Pupil Premium as they see fit. However we will be held accountable for how we have used the additional funding to these support pupils.
From September 2012, we are required to publish online information about how we have used the Premium. This will ensure that parents and others are made fully aware of the attainment of pupils covered by the Premium and the extra support that they receive.
